The Art of Working with Fur: How Long Does It Take? Home many techniques there are?

How long does it take to make a fur coat?

It’s a question artisans and big manufacturers are often asked.

The fact is, making a fur coat is an intricate and time-consuming process.

Depending on the design, it can take between 40-100 hours to make just one fur coat. Fur designers and manufacturers train for years to master their craft.

Each craftsman is highly skilled. They honour the pelts they work with and want to get the best from them.

Each coat is hand cut and sewn. Some artisans use centuries old techniques to knit or weave their fabrics together. The finished result is a true work of art. And it is this time and dedication that explains why fur coats are such high end, luxurious products.

You’re going to be wearing your fur coat for the next thirty years. Aren’t you glad so much time and dedication went into creating it?  Your favourite fur is piece to treasure forever.
