Nafa Gala 2015 in Athens

My experience in Greece, with Fur Excellence in Athens has been CRAZY.

I have loads of things to tell you, I’ll start with the first evening.

I have just returned to Milan, full of energy, excitement and deeper and deeper in love with my work in the fur sector.

Nafa Gala

Nada Gala: On 23 March at 8pm in one of the oldest and most elegant hotels of the Greek capital, the Grand Britagne Hotel, the Gala Party della Nafa was held. Five hundred and fifty members of the Greek fur industry plus politicians and journalists gathered to celebrate the Nafa Gala. (the hashtag on instagram is #Nafagala).

I went to the Nafa Gala with Nikos Panagiotou (soon I will share the interview), who is not only and important figure in the Greek fur world and the fair of Athens but is also a renouned university professor with a very interesting “vision”.

Before the big show there was the cocktail in the “Golden Rooms”, where I met many sector friends amongst whom Valerie Zimbal and her mother Linda, Cody Bokshowan, the Avanti Furs brothers, Nevris, Eleonora from EFD Papadopoulis, Fur Arpel, Moda Pelle, Conceria Milanese. I had the opportunity to meet entrepreneurs and sector operators like Bobby Poulios and Rob Cahill of Nafa, Filippisdis, Michalis Kloses, Dimitris of KN Furs, Dino of Ego, Langiotti, Stella Tsaousoglou, Oksana Moroz, Dino Salagiannis, Adam Gono of Fur Europe, Athina Ditsios of DTS and many others that I won’t list here because in the next post I will share the photos shot, during the Fur Excellence show in Athens.

The fur sector is for one big family that is always growing.<3

The theme of the show was: “The belle Époque”, a period in history that I particularly love taht goes from the beginning of the first world war and represents a moment of rebirth, graet change in fashion and extreme optimism.

Once the show was finished there was the award ceremony, by Nafa, with the six companies that won the top lot during the last auction. Here they are: Abel Fur,Ego, EFD Papadopoulis Fur, KN Furs, Karen Rizzi Pellicce and Langiotti.

Also Valerie e Linda Zimbal and Mike Patrik, producers of the top lots of female and male mink Black Nafa, won a prize.
