Hi friends,
Two days ago I ended up in hospital. It all started will abdominal fits, my stomach swelled up a lot and I fainted from the pain. Naturally I tried to take traditional medecines like painkillers etc but they did nothing. After hours of atrocious pain I asked the help of my friend Daniel who took me to hospital.
At first they thought it was appendicitus. I was subjected to a series of awful tests that really frightened me and gave me panic attacks. They even put me on an icy drip… I started shaking like a first generation Motorola.
But the pain persisted and was so strong the doctors filled me with morphine.
After hours of confinement and an infinite number of exams they finally discovered that my appendix could stay put. Yes the damned thing was just inflamed. Price $35 but that was just the start.
The problem was the stomach, my damned irritabel bowel syndrome.
After other clinical exams I was finally discharged. The cost of a day in hospital $1.100.
I can’t eat or drink… the only food allowed is… to choke back a little plain white rice.
After two hellish days, today I can finally say I feel a little better.
The moral of this story is : if you come to the States, don’t leave without first signing up for a bloody good insurance!
