Dear Fur Friends
Look what I found!
Wandering over the Internet I found tons of Barbies and dolls wearing fur coats, of any kind and colour. Vintage, modern, imitations and GENUINES.
Real fur coats are hand made. I think I’m gonna buy one of them and I might be starting to collect them.
When I was a kid I used to play with Barbies. I had a lot of fun by creating clothes for them. I used to snip pieces of cloth to create dresses and at that time my dolls could already boast about a couple of fur coats, one was pistachio and the other pink, both of them fake, sadly.
What do you think about it? Do you like fur coats for Barbies?
Have you ever collected something?
I’d like to ask for your advice: my good friend’s son was born not long ago. I’d like to give him a nice and genuine fur blanket as a gift. I was thinking to use Orylag fur to create it.

Lovely photos! Did you know the original Barbie of the 1960s had premium outfits trimmed in mink and rabbit? Mattel probably purchased the scraps from fur studios. That way a little girl’s Barbie could have a mink stole and hat just like her Mom’s!
Furs, whether it is a coat, stole, or trim is just sooo eligant!
