BasicLeather arises from a passion for fashion, leather and well-made things. Born in September 2011 from ‘idea to create a world around the leather, all with own criteria and a long-term vision, offering a leather product “Made in Spain”, worthy of a good wardrobe.

A own style. A review of fundamental tenets of fashion, new designs and creations, projects in progress, new collections. De-contextualize the concept of leather, adjective always as rigid, hard and thick. Usually, in fact, leather is associated with ‘outerwear or  accessories; the leather, however, can’ also have uses very different.

That distinguishes us is that we are a signature fashion that works only one kind of material, natural leather and from that the name of our brand.

How did you decide to work leather

Because we don’t belong to a family with a tradition within the leather industry, enter the sector has not been easy. It ‘a kind of business that is handed down from generation to generation, the birth of new ideas is unlikely and unexpected.

We are a fashion company that offers a stylish and innovative product. Although the materials are always of natural leather, do not feel we belong to the world of leather goods.

The value of craft is increasing, it was always well regarded, and lately, much appreciated. After working with experts in the leather sector and more general fashion, we created basicLeather to offer, through mini-collections, a product that meets the demand for garments of this material, which now begins to be trendy.

What inspires your designs

1.12 This first collection, is a re-invent the basic lines of T-shirts, shorts and skirts with a sporty trend. The clothes are simple and have clean lines, classic and minimalist. The details and finish make the clothes look more formal.

The materials are 100% natural leather. A leather very soft and comfortable, with which we shape to five t-shirts, three shorts and a mini skirt.

Edging finished in the neck and armholes, pockets in the French style and rubber belts adorned with ribbons, are some of the details that renew the idea of “leather” and create a modern combination, comfortable and durable.

What do you prepare for next season?

Our philosophy is to avoid those unsightly cuts which characterize leather garments.

BasicLeather is a very dynamic company that is not tied to strict agreements in the field of fashion collections and seasons. Coming soon we’ll introduce new collections, with new designs, new colors and new materials, as well as revisions of our already existing designs.

Internationalization is innate from the moment you enter the “world 2.0″. The basicLeather project has origin and Spanish values, and it is one thing that we like to underline, but it certainly is a brand with the potential to go global. The basicLeather collections don’t know country or age. Internet is the tool to reach our audience.
