Dear Fur Lovers 

It is with great pleasure and happines that I introduce to you the first video about my experience at Fur Kastoria Fair in Greece, one of the most important fur fairs in the world.

As I announced in the previous post ( click here if you didn't read it ), Kastoria nicknamed by its own inhabitants " THE FUR TOWN ", is a city where the major part of population  is dedicated to workin in the fur sector. Generation after generation has passed down the tradition of working in the fur trade.

They produce collection of furs and also sell them.

In Kastoria there are more fur shops (very elegant and huge) than supermarkets! =)

All the shops at the center city display more than one fur piece.

Kastoria is literally inundated with advertising billboards of fur brands. It seems to be really living a dream.

Kastoria Fur Fair really stunned me : the stands were very elegant, ( also mine) =) the organization, the food excellent and the exhibitors show much interest in my blog.

They were very welcoming and really listened to what I had to say, which gave me a lot of faith in my work.

All the companies that exhibited at the kastoria fur fair were able to transmit the love they had for their own work as well as their desire to evolve and innovate.

I had the pleasure of meeting the President of Kastoria Fur Fair, a fantastic man, humble and elegant, intent on promoting the renewal and growth of the fur sector in Kastoria.

The fair was exiting!

I met a lot of fur brands, meeting important people of fur industry as Joe of Blackglama, Mark Oaten and Gorana from IFTF, Mr Avanti Furs and many others…

If you continue to follow me in the next post I will share a second video with all fur coats that I wore at  the fair, and a post with the final statistic information  about the trade of the Kastoria fur fair.

I love Kastoria and its fur companies: I hope with all my heart that the Greek economy will recover soon because these businesses are of great importance to the fur business and deserve to rediscover their past glory.

I had an apprehensive feeling before starting my adventure to the fur exhibition in Kastoria. Above all, the voyage had me worried.

A 2 hour flight, driving a rental car for 2 hours on poorly lit roads, full of potholes and without my tried and true tomtom.

But it wasn’t the time to get worried: the friendliness of the people I met on the road helped me easily get to my hotel.

Once I arrived in Kastoria, I was surprised yet again: this time by the amazing beauty of the place.

A huge lake with a shore full of gorgeous flowers in bloom and completely surrounded by lovely hills and mountains.

Walking through the streets of this city full of beautiful fur shops, I felt like I was truly in FUR TOWN. Another aspect that struck me was the strong rooted tradition of the inhabitants in passing down the fur trade from father to son.

Every store had two signs: up high there was the name of the family and below there was the brand name. One can see signs of the economic crisis in Kastoria but the hard work and dedication of the local merchants and artisans will surely spawn a new boom in the economy. 

The fur exhibition was set up in a perfect way. Even my stand, which although small was located in a strategic position and was very nice.

Another resource of Kastoria is surely tourism. The beautiful lake and its white pelicans, the lack of pollution and food that is 100% organic (many of the locals are organic farmers) will also contribute to revitalization of the local economy.

The very mild climate let me wear a beautiful white sangallo suit with the top studded with glittering stones. The scenery of a wall of red roses provided the perfect backdrop for my photo shoot.

Too bad that there were hundreds of buzzing bees, which scared me and made me want to run away. Finally a marvellous tree full of white flowers allowed us to take some truly beautiful photos.

For the moment I can't tell you anything about, it is a little secret.

When I'm confused I use to go alone wrapped in my lippi fur coat,in the middle of nature as mountains or, as in this case, the sea.

Hello my fur friends

during the weekend I went to Monaco to relax a little bit with my friends.

I wore a pink dress with fox collar going to a dinner. I thought I would be criticized but I enjoyed widespread appreciation both from my friends and the ladies of the tables next to for the idea of wearing a fox fur collar in spring.

The fox collar I'm talking about is pastel, looks fresh and, combined with the opaque pink dress, it makes brighter the color.

Considering the 25 degree, if I had worn the fox collar in Turin, surely I would have been criticized and, perhaps, even threatened, but fortunately in Monte Carlo women and girls are very stylish and chic, but especially they are open mind. That's why I received approval and compliments.

If I could I would come back to live in Monaco, where the sun always shines and positivity and happiness prevail. On the road none shout, none honks, there is no criminality and respect for the human being predominates. The women retire at 45 years old, healthcare is available to everyone. Any kind of visit, both private and hospital, costs more or less € 30 and, in case of termination, Monaco helps you looking for a job with a similar salary and sustains you till the re-integration in the world of work. And … I could write more and more but I think I should leave it at that.

In a few days I will leave for a city called Kastoria barely reachable in low season. I'll have to take a plane, a  bus and even another one probably. I also booked a hotel far away from the fair … it seems that travel organization is my achilles' heel… =)

The problem is that on the 13th May I will have to undergo surgery. Can not say I feel very well in these days, I'm very weak and I's scared of being hurt in Kastoria and not being able to reach an hospital promptly …. How stressful. 

Better if I don't think about it.

The reality is that I love going to skin and fur fair in part because there is always something new to learn and, at the same time, attending this environment I get in touch with lot of people and I get a heap of ideas.

In Kastoria during the fair I will do a video report of my experience in those places…. I cannot wait and I really hope to feel better than I am now…

I love all kinds of skin from python to crocodile, from ostrich leather to calfskin but my favorites are those with scales. This year, the python and crocodile skins are the queens of spring-summer, although in my opinion the skins are not a trend and will never go out of style, even from year to year they are ganing more and more value.

I love leather because it lasts for years, it is indestructible and unlike other accesories or clothing made in other materials, leather goods don't need the brand of the fashion house to be promoted or be recognized as such they are. The skin has its own language… It speaks for itself.

A leather bag used over the years is able to reflect the class and charm of the personality of the wearer.

The exotic skin are the most valued, my favorite is the crocodile! I wonder if one day I can afford an alligator bag… I dream it since I was 17 years old.

Very soon I will write a post on how to recognize a good crocodile leather from a "fake"

Дорогие друзья, Я люблю все виды кожи с питона до крокодила, от страуса, до телячьей кожи, но мои любимые-те, с чешуей. В этом году, питоновая и крокодилья королевы сезона весна-лета, хотя, на мой взгляд шкуры не тенденция, и никогда не выйдут из моды, потому что они даже из года в год они набирают все больше и больше значения. Я люблю кожи, потому что это длится годами, это неистребимо, и в отличие от других аксессуаров и одежды, изготовленных з других материалов, товарам из кожи не нужен бренд и должны быть признаны такими какие они есть. Кожа имеет свой собственный язык… Это говорит само за себя. Кожаная сумка, используется на протяжении многих лет находится в состоянии отразить класса и объявляет личности владельца. Экзотическая кожа самая ценная, моя любимая это крокодиляча! Интересно, если в один прекрасный день я с могу себе позволить сумку с аллигатора… я мечтаю о ней,от 17 лет. Во-первых : с днем первого Мая

Через социальные сети и по электронной почте, многие из вас спрашивают меня, какие шубы носить весной или летом и как носить и подбирать их.

Насколько я понимаю, на лето я пред почитаю купальник с шубой без рукавов ( на пляже после 6 вечера или на лодке )

В этих фотографиях я ношу норковую шубу. Идеально подходит для весны, летом много людей, думаю, что это сумасшедшие, чтобы носить шубу под солнцем или на лодке с собой над купальником. Они не правы, потому что шуба защитит вас от холодного воздуха, что дает вам неприятных мурашек. Мех приносит теплоту там, где вам больше нужно, не даст вам

потеть и, кроме того … образ прекрасной женщины в купальнике и шубы элегантный и индивидуальный

Сейчас я дам более подробную информацию о весенних шубах

Бритой норки, или также длинные волосы, но без рукавов и модели, как, предлагаемые Prada в их меха весенне-летней коллекции, которые легче носить

Persianer, Аstrakan без рукавов пастельных тонах.

А также: коротко модели с соболя с некоторыми вставками с кружева, супер супер шикарный для стильной женщины
